The Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club and surrounding area has plenty to offer for all holiday guests:

Southern Dunes is a very friendly community, with many homes owned by local Americans. It is a 24 hour manned gated community.

Southern Dunes golf course is ranked in the top 100 modern American golf courses and was designed in 1993 by Steve Smyers. It's dramatic hillside layout stretches to over 7,200 yards and features 100ft elevation changes, not typically found in Central Florida. In the March 2004 issue Southern Dunes Golf and Country Club has been ranked 6th in Florida in Golfweek's America 's Best Courses you can play.

If you are not a golfer wanting to play this superb course or to use the driving range why not try the clubhouse bar or restaurant, which serves a fantastic variety of delicious meals, welcomes children and is only a 5 minute walk from our villa.

As a guest staying in our villa, you will also be eligible for free use of the other features within the Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club. These include 3 communal swimming pools, tennis courts, gym, library and children's adventure playground. For anglers why not try fishing at one of the many local lakes in the area?

All the needs of a self catering tourist can be met by the huge selection of shops literally just outside Southern Dunes. There is a large 24 hour Wal*Mart, supermarkets, 2 chemists one of which is open 24 hours, a bank, a petrol station, hairdressing salon, Blockbusters, liquor store and restaurants including the very popular Manny's Chophouse.

Just outside Southern Dunes is the US 27 which allows quick and easy driving access south to Miami and north to the I-4 leading to Kennedy Space Centre and the space coast or Busch Gardens and the fantastic sandy beaches on the gulf coast.
